The “About Me” section is always the first place I go when I find a new blog. I love getting a glimpse into somebody’s background, what’s important to them, what inspires them. Before I share about me, I have this tension going on between sharing about who I am and sharing about who Christ is. My desire is not to elevate myself, but to elevate Christ. My wish is to know Him more fully and be changed by His scandalous grace for me. The only good thing in me is Christ. All glory and praise to Him.
I’m a wife to my hottie husband, Aaron, and a mommy to my cute little 2-year-old boy, Elias. I lived in Northern Indiana all my life until about 3+ years ago when we felt the Lord calling us to my husband’s hometown in Maryland. I work full-time as an interior designer, but my dream job is to be a full-time stay at home mom and create things. I love talking about Christ and what He’s doing in my life and what He’s doing in others. I’m content with being home with my family and watching a movie, though I’m very aware of how community and fellowship with others is so very important. My favorite time of day is in the early morning hours when my son is still sleeping. I love waking up to a full pot of coffee, finding a cozy spot on my couch, and opening up my bible (err…YouVersion’s bible app on my phone) and spending those moments reading and talking with the Lord. I love making things with my hands when time permits; it’s a lovely place for me to be. Lastly, but not least, I love my ice cream and I love healthy living, too (balance, people, balance!). I like finding natural remedies for my families minor aches and pains, working out and having my son watch and see what it looks like to push your body, and eating nutritious good food that God has graciously given to us.
Proverbs 31:25
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future.”
Peace, Joy, & Righteousness.
